Illinois CLICKS!
Funded by an Illinois State Library grant, the Skokie Public Library coordinated the implementation of a searchable information portal, allowing librarians from across Illinois to share their most valuable Internet-based resources with the rest of the Internet community. Illinois CLICKS! contains thousands of valuable links sorted by hundreds of categories. Special resources are available for teachers, parents, consumers, and senior citizens among many other groups. Working with a project coordinator and designer from SPL, members of the Cooperative team extended the Drupal content management system and wrote custom code to provide for the security and publishing features the librarians require.
CTC dissolved in 2010 and its members moved on to other nonprofit technology, website development, and application development opportunities. Nonprofit organizations seeking website assistance can contact Jim Craner or Jacob Roufa. Employers seeking to verify employment of former CTC members can use this form.
